That’s according to Sky Sports News reporter Kaveh Solhekol amid speculation linking the Zenit St Petersburg gaffer with West Ham.

Mancini has spent the past 16 years in management since hanging up his boots off the back of a loan spell with Leicester.

And during that time he’s taken in stints in his native Italy, as well as England, Turkey and now Russia.

Mancini won the Premier League, FA Cup and Community Shield during a four-year tenure at Manchester City.

And it seems he fancies another crack at English football, with replacing Arsene Wenger in the Emirates hotseat on his mind.

Taking to Twitter, Solhekol revealed: "Roberto Mancini being linked with West Ham.

"One job he's always wanted... Arsenal."

Whether Mancini will be in the reckoning once veteran boss Wenger eventually leaves Arsenal remains to be seen.

Eddie Howe, Thomas Tuchel and Massimiliano Allegri have previously been touted as candidates for the Gunners job.

And Wenger could yet have a say on who succeeds him, particularly if he intends to take up a backroom role.
