At least that’s what Italian journalist Niccolo Ceccarini has suggested after being quizzed about the Chelsea gaffer’s future.

Conte enjoyed an impressive debut campaign at Stamford Bridge, leading the Blues to title glory and an FA Cup final appearance.

But this summer his future was uncertain amid intense interest from Inter Milan and Chelsea chiefs' repeated failure to sign his top transfer targets.

Conte looks set to stick around for the immediate future having put pen to paper on improved terms and will take his team to Leicester on Saturday.

Ceccarini doesn’t think Conte will be in charge of Chelsea when the 2018/19 season rolls around though.

He told Tutto Mercato Web Radio: "The odds that he will be Chelsea coach next season are very low, so nowadays, with all the big Italians [clubs] already set up, I can see him going abroad.

"Barcelona would be an interesting scenario."

Ceccarini then said a return to Serie A with AC Milan looks improbable at the moment.

He added: "This summer they never thought of Conte, so much so that they immediately renewed [Vincenzo] Montella’s contract.

"With [Adriano] Galliani there has always been this idea of bringing the former Bianconeri [Juventus’ nickname] coach to Milan, but today it seems unlikely."
