The pair were at Nike Town in London where club hero Drogba was handing over a pair of new Mercurial Vapor boots to the Belgian.
And Blues fans were all left thinking the same thing as the Ivorian gave the boots to the number 10.
“Passing the torch,” said one.
Another added: “Hope he's handing over the skill and expertise as well. Hazard will have that double portion.”
And a third explained: “Legend and future legend.”
Drogba is currently plying his trade in the MLS in America with Phoenix Rising FC.
The 39-year-old has not lost his scoring touch, bagging five goals in nine games so far this season.
Meanwhile Chelsea fans will be hoping to see Hazard make his first Chelsea appearance of the season after missing the start while recovering from injury.
The 26-year-old featured for Belgium over the international break and could be part of Antonio Conte’s match day squad against Leicester this weekend.
