Paul Pogba's blistering form won him Manchester United's Player of the Month award.

The Frenchman's performances in August ensured the club enjoyed a perfect start to the season, winning their opening three Premier League games.

Pogba has contributed with two goals and one assist so far this season and has been rewarded by winning Manchester United Player of the Month upon returning from international duty.

It is the second successive month the 24-year-old has earned the accolade, after also winning it back in May.

In an interview with MUTV, Pogba gave his thanks to the Old Trafford support.

"I'm just very happy and would like to say thanks to the fans who voted for me last month," said the French international.

"It has been great for me and great for the team.

"Hopefully we are going to carry on like that.

"The season is very long and I need to hopefully keep on this level to help the team."

Paul Pogba is starting to show he was worth his big price tag

Pogba has also been attracting attention off the pitch after it was revealed his name had been printed on more shirts than any other player's in the league over the summer.

"That obviously makes me happy and makes me feel very proud," admitted the midfielder.

"It is something everyone wants to do, when you see the fans get behind you, it's what all the players need.

"Now, we have to respond on the pitch and keep giving them this happiness back."

Pogba and his United team-mates travel to face Stoke this Saturday, looking to make it four from four.
