Stoke boss Mark Hughes says Man Utd are clearly the best side in the Premier League

United have won their first three Premier League games this season without conceding a goal and look in ominous form as they seeks to claim a first title since 2013.

They take on Stoke at the bet365 Stadium tomorrow evening hoping to maintain their top form.

Stoke boss and United legend Hughes believes Jose Mourinho’s squad is very strong with plenty of options.

But he is hopeful that his Potters can find a chink in their armour and get a result.

Hughes said: “Of all the teams they are clearly at the top of the pile.

"Their performances and the way they’ve gone about their business has been impressive.

“We had similar situation last year with Man City, who were not able to sustain it, but the make up of the Man United squad is very strong and they’re playing in a way that their fans will take to and enjoy.

"They expect teams to attack with power and pace and ability. It’s very early days. Hopefully there are still things for us to exploit.

"These games are huge for us and we always enjoy them. We hope we can get a similar result that we did against Arsenal.

"They’ve got the pace of [Marcus] Rashford, the power and presence of [Romelu] Lukaku, the clever play of [Juan] Mata and [Henrikh] Mkhitaryan. These teams test you in a lot of ways."

Stoke will be without club captain and former United defender Ryan Shawcross for tomorrow’s clash after he suffered a back injury in training.

The 29-year-old only signed a new contract with the Potters last week but is now set for a stint on the sidelines.

Hughes added: “It’s unfortunate because he’s started the season really well and signing the contract was important for him and us.

"It dragged on a little bit because these things can but we got there in the end. We were always confident the deal would be signed.

"It’s good news but a shame he’s injured. He’s going to be here for a long time and that’s the key."
