Jose Mourinho's defence let him down at Stoke

The Red Devils failed to beat Stoke last night in the 2-2 draw at the Bet365 Stadium.

Jose Mourinho's men had the lead but couldn't hold on to it as Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting's brace earned the hosts a point.

Fingers were pointed at Phil Jones while Matteo Darmian could have done better with the opener.

And, despite all the money United have spent, former Red Devil Owen thinks that is their weakest point.

Owen, speaking on BT Sport yesterday, said: “I would be concerned slightly with Manchester United’s defence.

"They're in the Champions League now and against the best teams - I can't look at that back four and think 'world class defender' about any of them.

"I think they are all much of a muchness really."

"I think Antonio Valencia is a top player.

"But he is playing out of position and against a top team, perhaps even he could be found out.

"I think that's a worry there."
