The German was absent as the Gunners came from behind to beat Cologne in the Europa League.

On Friday, boss Arsene Wenger admitted that Ozil and fellow midfielder Aaron Ramsey were both doubts for Sunday’s clash.

However, he hoped both would be available.

Ramsey was pictured in training on Saturday, while Alexandre Lacazette, Laurent Koscielny, Granit Xhaka, Petr Cech and Danny Welbeck also returned after sitting out Wednesday’s session.

But according to Metro, Ozil was pictured training away from the first-team, meaning he is unlikely to feature in tomorrow's fixture.

"We have to see about Ozil and Ramsey. I think they should be alright. All the others could have played against Cologne," Wenger said on Arsenal's official website earlier in the week.

Alexis Sanchez played 90 minutes in the Europa League clash, while Jack Wilshere came off the bench in the second half.

Calum Chambers remains a doubt despite making a return for the under-23's in midweek.

Wenger will be hoping his side can build on the two wins picked up since the international break.

However, Arsenal have failed to beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge since 2011.

A defeat would mean the North London outfit have lost three of their opening five games.
