Eden Hazard is not always a fan of Antonio Conte's methods and demands at Chelsea

But the Blues star admits it makes him a more complete player, knowing exactly what he needs to do.

Conte has instilled a strong work ethic in his team, which helped earn them the Premier League title last term.

Hazard has missed the bulk of this season so far through injury.

However, he featured against Arsenal in the 0-0 draw at the weekend, having put the necessary yards in off the pitch.

The 26-year-old feels far from rusty, claiming Conte’s in-depth coaching means he could play blindfolded.

“There’s a lot of tactics,” Hazard said.

“It’s not always nice as a forward as you have to run, defend and everything, but at least at the weekend, you know exactly what to do, you can even close your eyes and play. That’s good.

“We work a lot. It’s not always easy in training, there are a lot of hours of training, but it bears fruit on the pitch.

“We play well, we won last year. You can see that that’s the key to success: work.”

The Belgium international has now been working under his Italian boss for over a year.

And the Chelsea winger certainly feels the difference in his own game.

Eden Hazard says Chelsea players are worked hard in training to prepare them for matches

On Conte, Hazard added: “Even after a week I think I had progressed with him.

“But I think he’s shown not just at Chelsea but also at Juve that he’s a good coach and I think he has some good years ahead of him.”

Conte confirmed after Sunday’s game that Hazard, who came off the bench against Arsenal, will start in Chelsea’s Carabao Cup third round tie.

They play at home to Nottingham Forest tomorrow evening (7.45pm).
