Arsenal and Liverpool target Julian Draxler is set to leave PSG in January

PSG are set to offload the forward in the New Year following the signings of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

Draxler has quickly become surplus to requirements at the Parc des Princes.

Despite only joining the club at the beginning of the year from Wolfsburg, the Germany international will be on the move again.

He is still well regarded, though, by club across Europe.

And according to TransferMarketWeb, Liverpool and Arsenal are targeting Draxler.

The versatile winger, who turns 24 tomorrow, would certainly strengthen both attacks.

Jurgen Klopp and Arsene Wenger each went after Monaco star Thomas Lemar in the summer.

But Draxler could prove a cheap alternative.

The Gunners are said to be already tracking the PSG ace, having monitored him for some time.

And they need a long-term replacement for Alexis Sanchez.

TransferMarketWeb add, though, Liverpool have identified Draxler too and they are ready to challenge Arsenal to sign him.

The ex-Schalke man has made no secret of his interest in the Premier League in the past.

And it is claimed he could head to England sooner or later.

Liverpool boss Klopp  hinted yesterday at potential additions in the window in the New Year.

He said: “From today's perspective yes, we have the resources, but we will see how it is again in January."
