Lacazette netted a deadly double last night as the Gunners beat West Brom 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium.

The French striker is the club’s record signing at £52m and after downing the Baggies now has four Premier League goals to his name in five appearances.

Keown says Arsenal have a top player on their hands - who Arsene Wenger can only help get better.

“Think of Wenger and the players he’s worked with, what he’s turned them in to,” Keown said on BBC Radio 5 Live.

“I can think of a young Thierry Henry coming to Arsenal playing in a wide position. Lacazette would have seen that.

“He’s (Wenger) worked with George Weah, Dennis Bergkamp, (Nicolas) Anelka - so many good strikers.

“They all end up better players for working with Wenger. And with Lacazette we’re seeing that improvement, that really clever movement, that calmness, that finish.

“I think he’s an excellent signing and when he plays for France I’m sure he’ll take on board what he’s learnt from Wenger and become an even better player.”

Wenger is happy with how quickly Lacazette is adapting to life in England after his summer switch from Lyon.

“He has found confidence and I believe he is adapting quickly to the demands of the Premier League,” the Arsenal manager said.

“I think it's quite positive. Now he has to score away from home, but he was unlucky as well away to Stoke I must say.

“Overall it's a good sign that he keeps scoring at home.

“He’s not only a goalscorer, his link up play is good."

Keown also praised Mohamed Elneny for his display last night, describing it as a 'big improvement' on recent performances.

Lacazette could be rested for Thursday’s Europa League clash with BATE Borisov in Belarus.

Arsenal are next in Premier League action on Sunday when they host Brighton (12pm).
