Ozil played for Arsenal against West Brom on Monday.

The midfielder replaced Alexis Sanchez in the 83rd minute after missing games against Colonge, Chelsea and Doncaster with a knee injury.

And Germany manager Low has now revealed he'll be given the next fortnight off to put his feet up and make a full recovery.

"I expect Mesut Ozil and Sami Khedira to recover during this break for international matches," he said.

"That is more important for them now.

"What will be decisive for us is that the players are fully fit next year (at the World Cup)."

Ozil will be watching on from home, getting himself in shape for Arsenal's next game away at Watford on October 14.

He may feature against Brighton at the Emirates on Sunday, after sitting out last night's Europa League win over BATE Borisov.

When quizzed after Monday's win over the Baggies why Ozil didn't start, Arsene Wenger said: "He just came back from a knee problem.

"He hasn’t practiced a lot in the last two weeks.

"I didn’t know really how much he has lost on the fitness front."

Germany are top of their qualifying group having won eight out of eight games.

They need just one point from their last two matches against Northern Ireland and Azerbaijan to secure a spot in next year's tournament in Russia.

The reigning World champions, top on 24 points with Northern Ireland on 19 in second, travel to Belfast on October 5 before hosting the Azeris in Kaiserslautern three days later.
