That is the verdict of former Reds and current Newcastle United manager Rafael Benitez.

Coutinho has been welcomed back into the first-team fold at Anfield after demanding a move to La Liga giants Barcelona during the transfer window.

The Brazilian has hit the ground running upon his return to Liverpool action, scoring and assisting in his first league start against Leicester last weekend.

Sunday's clash in the North East sees Benitez reunited with Coutinho, who he coached at Inter Milan.

And the 57-year-old believes the midfielder will not begrudge staying in Merseyside this season.

"They (Liverpool) have a good team," said Benitez.

"I understand some players, they are thinking about going because they have big offers, but Coutinho is in a very good team, a very strong club.

"So, I think he will be fine and he is scoring goals already."

Benitez spoke highly of the 25-year-old, who was only 18 when he was plying his trade for the Italian outfit.

"I know him because he was my player at Inter, when he was a young player," added the former Real Madrid boss.

"He was 18. Now he's a much better player, more experienced.

"He was very shy at that time but a nice lad, worked hard.

"He had the potential and the quality, so he was making a difference in training.

"I remember some of his runs against one of the senior players, who couldn't keep up with him.

"He had the talent."

United are looking for their fourth win in five games this weekend.

Liverpool, however, will hope the tie puts an end to their shaky form.
