The Arsenal boss went into the last international break on a real low after his side were hammered 4-0 at Liverpool in an abject display.

But since then, the Gunners have recovered well.

They host Brighton today looking to make it a seven-game unbeaten run in all competitions.

And they have only failed to take three points in that spell in a well-earned draw at champions Chelsea.

And Emirates chief Wenger, 67, said: “Mentally, I am very fresh. I love football and the way we want to play football.

“So I am always motivated by that.”

Arsenal’s problems at Anfield were compounded by a dreadful transfer deadline day when they failed to sell their unsettled hitman Alexis Sanchez – or land £90million Monaco ace Thomas Lemar.

However, fears that an unhappy, divided dressing room could destroy their campaign have so far proved unfounded.

Wenger added: “Since the international break and the window closing, it feels like a different team from then to now.

“You see the way we play football. You need to have a united group to do that.

“It’s not that we are bad for just one day. We’re all human beings and are not fantastic every day. Maybe you are but I am not.”

A win over Brighton today would help cement those positive vibes going forward for the rest of 2017, something Wenger would love to do.

He said: “The opportunity we have is to go into this international break differently.

“We play at home and we want to do well before this break.

“Last time was a very difficult one as well because you have two weeks to think about everything that happened.

“But we stayed united and responded on the pitch. That is all you can do.”
