Paul Pogba has been banned from playing any basketball while he recovers from a hamstring injury.

The Frenchman is still some way from returning to action and could remain sidelined until around Christmas time.

And to avoid any potential further setback, United medics are urging the 24-year-old to play safe.

The Red Devils midfielder is a big NBA fan, and has shared videos of himself shooting hoops on his Instagram in the past.

With Pogba currently away in the USA receiving treatment, he has been warned about any physical activity.

According to The Sun, United have gone as far as to order their superstar to stay off the basketball court completely.

Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed why he had to leave Manchester United.

The superstar swapped Old Trafford for the Bernabeu in 2009.

Ronaldo, 32, had an impressive spell in England, winning three Premier League titles during his time at Old Trafford under Sir Alex Ferguson.

But since his move to Spain, the Portugal international has become one of the best players on the planet.

And Ronaldo says he felt he had to leave United for Real for a fresh challenge.

“When I became a Manchester player, it was a moment of maximum pride for me. But I think it was more for my family,” Ronaldo told The Players’ Tribune.

“At the beginning, winning trophies was very exciting for me.

"But my dreams were getting bigger. I guess that's how dreams work, right?

“I had always admired Madrid and wanted a new challenge."

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is refusing to give up on signing David De Gea.

The United goalkeeper has been linked with an exit for the last few seasons but a move has failed to materialise.

De Gea is under contract with the club until 2019 but reports suggest the shot-stopper is in line to be offered a new deal at Old Trafford.

However, Perez is determined to get his man.

And according to Don Balon, he feels despite the rumours of the United star penning a new contract, there’s still time for the number one to decide to join Real.
