Aaron Ramsey is Wales' main man as Gareth Bale recovers from injury

That is according to Wales manager Chris Coleman.

The former Fulham manager is without star man Bale, who is sidelined with a calf problem, for clashes against Georgia and Ireland this weekend.

Wales have not won without the Real Madrid talisman since 2013.

To add to this, they have failed to win an away tie without Bale since 2009.

But Coleman insists Ramsey is the man to lead the national team forward this week.

"It’s his 50th cap, fantastic," said the 47-year-old.

Chris Coleman has total faith in Aaron Ramsey to step up this weekend

"We know his capabilities of changing the outlook of a game at any given moment.

"He can create something or score from nothing.

"He won’t be thinking this is his 50th cap and getting carried away.

"He’ll be thinking this is what he needs to do.

"If he’s anywhere near his best we’ve always got a chance of having a positive result."

Wales need a victory against Georgia tomorrow to secure a top two spot, if Ireland fail to beat Moldova.

Wales have frequently struggled without Gareth Bale

Otherwise it could come down to the clash between the two countries for a place in the play-offs.

But Coleman believes his senior players can cope with the pressure.

"It is on a knife-edge and we have all been there before," he added.

"He, along with Joe Allen, Joe Ledley and other players, know what it’s all about.

"They know their identity and they are a very resilient bunch."
