Harry Kane needs to be paid what he's worth by Tottenham, says Harry Redknapp

Kane is one of Europe’s most deadly finishers and has won the Premier League golden boot award in back-to-back seasons.

He’s one of Spurs’ most prized assests and Redknapp says the club must make sure they pay him top whack to keep him happy.

"No one could dislike Harry Kane,” Redknapp said on talkSPORT.

“He is a model professional. I was lucky enough to manage him as a young player and he is different class.

"He wouldn't be a boy thinking he wants £200,000 or £300,000-a-week.

“He is happy at Spurs. They love him.

“He will end up as captain, I'm sure. It is a great club to be at.

"Daniel [Levy, the chairman] needs to look after him and make sure his contract is up there with a player of his stature deserves and I'm sure he will.

“But I wouldn't see him wanting to bang the door down and leave Tottenham in a hurry."

Kane carried his fine domestic form into international football last night, scoring England’s winner against Slovenia in injury time.

He captained his country at Wembley and could do so again when the Three Lions head to Lithuania on Sunday.
