Any future for Sanchez at Arsenal looks bleak as the Chilean continues to stall on signing a new contract.

The Gunners are desperate to keep their attacking star but it is looking increasingly likely that this season will be his last in north London.

A number of Europe’s biggest clubs are waiting in the wings and are ready to offer Sanchez a hefty contract in order to land him.

While Manchester City remain favourites to snap up Sanchez, PSG defender Alves hopes he will join him in France.

After Brazil's win over Chile last night, Alves said: "He is wanted by many teams.

"It would be good if he came with us.

“I will always appreciate him. I want what is best for him wherever he goes."

Alves added: "I don't want to speak much [about Sanchez] because I know how tough it is and also because I don't want for people to interpret things in a way that would have put my professionalism in doubt."

Sanchez has endured a week to forget after his Chile failed to make next summer’s World Cup following their 3-0 defeat in Brazil.

The ex-Barcelona star will now return to Arsenal as Arsene Wenger and co gear up for their Premier League clash at Watford this weekend.
