Manchester United are considering a stunning £170m raid for Tottenham striker Harry Kane.

Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho is said to want to partner the England man with Romelu Lukaku.

A United source told The Sun: “The club had asked about Kane’s availability a few years back.

“They were told by Spurs there was no chance. Jose is a big fan and is very interested.

“Zlatan Ibrahimovic will move on next summer, more than likely, freeing up a load of cash they plan to use.

“The problem for United is the money could get to a ridiculous level. It’s going to be more than Kylian Mbappe.

“It’s money they can lay their hands on but it will be interesting to see what Levy’s stance on the whole thing will be.”

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed Mesut Ozil could be sold in January.

When asked about the possibility of selling the German who has been linked United, the Frenchman refused to rule out a shock transfer happening.

“We have envisaged every solution,” Wenger explained.

“It is possible we might sell in January.”

As well as Manchester United, Inter Milan and Besiktas have also been mooted as potential destinations for Ozil, who is yet to agree a new contract with Arsenal.

Man Utd are ready to make a £170m offer for Spurs striker Harry Kane

Barcelona are set to reward their star man Lionel Messi with a new contract that includes a record-breaking signing bonus.

The deal is close to being finalised and will see Barca’s record goalscorer earn £500,000-a-week and receive a mammoth £80m signing bonus, according to the Daily Mail.

That would be the highest ever and Barca are looking to sell the naming rights to the Nou Camp to help fund the deal.

The contract is well deserved for Messi, who scored a stunning hat-trick against Ecuador this week to send Argentina to next summer’s World Cup.

The magician has also been named on the 30-man shortlist for the 2017 Ballon d’Or.
