That’s according to Daily Record journalist Duncan Castles.

Mourinho’s United are flying this season and look set to compete on all fronts.

The Red Devils have won six and drawn two of their opening eight Premier League games this time out.

However, according to Castles, Mourinho could quit Old Trafford.

There have been no discussions to extend the Special One’s three-year deal at United, which has 18 months remaining.

Castles adds that Mourinho is also frustrated with United executive vice chairman Ed Woodward over the running of the club.

The Red Devils boss is not happy with the organisation at Old Trafford and United’s Carrington training ground.

Transfer decisions and unwillingness to match money spent by Champions League rivals are also said to be getting to Mourinho.

On a possible contract extension for Mourinho, a source told The Record: “Totally untrue, zero contacts for that.”

Mourinho today revealed he may not end his career at United.

He said: "I'm still a coach with worries, with ambitions, and with the desire to do new things.

"I don't believe, no, I'm sure that I won't end my career here."

Asked if that meant at Old Trafford, Mourinho said: "Yes."
