Alexis Sanchez is said to be considering handing in a transfer request to Arsenal in order to push through a move to Man City.

According to The Mirror, Sanchez is so keen to play for former boss Pep Guardiola that he is willing to upset supporters, teammates and Arsene Wenger alike by handing in formal notice of his intention to leave.

That request could well be rejected by Wenger, who maintains that he has no plans to sell any of his 'contract rebels', even if the £50million fee being touted is offered by Man City.

Sanchez has reportedly priced himself out of moves to PSG and Bayern Munich by demanding £400,000 a week, though apparently this won't put off Arsenal's Premier League rivals, Man City, who appear to have more money than Scrooge McDuck

Arsenal are prepared to offer a 'compromise' deal and offer Sanchez a one year extension with an increased wage of £300,000 a week and to agree to review the situation next summer, when offers from other clubs could be considered depending on how well Arsenal's season has gone.

Maroune Fellaini is here to stay

Good news, Fellaini fans! Jose Mourinho has ruled out the chance of Manchester United selling Fellaini, quashing rumours linking the midfielder with a move to Turkish side Galatasaray.

The manager said: "It’s easier for Galatasaray to get me than to get Marouane so if they need a manager they can try and they have a chance, but Marouane? Forget it. He is too important for me."

In other midfielder related transfer news, United are expected to complete the signing of Nemanja Matic on Monday.

Matic travelled to Manchester on Saturday after United agreed a fee with Chelsea that could reach £45 million. He underwent a medical on Sunday, with Mourinho telling MUTV: “I’m waiting for news. I know he wants that very, very much and when a player wants very, very much the chance is bigger, the chance is bigger, so I think we have a chance.”

Jurgen Klopp says he's not disappointed with Liverpool's inability to sign his top transfer targets and has joked that he will go to RB Leipzig with an improved offer of €300m for Naby Keita.

Liverpool had a third bid of £75million for Keita rejected by the German club, with manager Ralph Hasenhüttl confirming that Keita will “100 per cent” remain a Leipzig player for the immediate future.

The Neymar saga continues

According to The Sunday Times, Neymar's father has asked PSG to delay transfer negotiations until after today (31st July) in order that he earn a massive £23million loyalty bonus.

Spanish publication Sport also believe this to be the case and claimed that should Barcelona make said payment to Neymar Snr, they will have paid him more since 2013 than Lionel Messi.

The bonus in question was agreed as part of the last contract Neymar Jnr signed last October and if true, gives a closing answer as to whether you really can buy loyalty, with it widely reported that PSG will make their mega-money move in the next few days.

Technically, bonuses owed to Messi over the next few years mean that he will still earn far more than Neymar Snr but the numbers are still fairly astonishing for a club whose senior management has been heavily criticised by supporters for recent off-field matters.

Barcelona beat Real Madrid 3-2 in Miami on Saturday night with Marca alleging that Neymar spent 15 minutes in the Real Madrid dressing room after the match to "say goodbye".

A video on the same site appears to show Neymar discussing something with Marcelo which the Real Madrid man finds particularly interesting. What could it be?!
