Video footage from Arsenal's open training session at the Emirates appears to show Alexis Sanchez kissing the club badge.

Arsenal are holding the public session in front of approximately 5,000 fans as they cotinue preparations for Sunday's Community Shield clash with Chelsea.

Sanchez was joined by Mesut Ozil as he headed out onto the Emirates Stadium pitch.

The 28-year-old then appears to share a joke with Ozil before kissing the Arsenal badge and pumping his chest.

The Chilean striker has been heavily linked with a move away from Arsenal having so far failed to sign a new contract.

Arsene Wenger had  given Sanchez extra time off from training after he contracted flu whilst waiting to return to London.

Wenger has remained steadfast in his belief that the 28-year-old will not be sold this summer.

Speaking after the public training session, the Frenchman reiterated his position on the situation.

"I will not give anything away on that. The only thing I can tell you is he is focused. My decision is clear, he will stay."

Sanchez was put his through his paces by Arsenal's fitness coach on Tuesday following a bout of flu, but Wenger insists the Chilean is in fine condition.

"He is good, you can see it in training. He needs to work on his fitness but he is sharp and looks like he was never away," he said.

"The players have contracts and we expect them to respect their contracts. That's what we want," Wenger explained earlier this week.

"Nobody knows today if Sanchez will be on his final year of his contract next season, because he can extend his contract with us at the start of the season or during the season.

"So it is not necessarily the last year of his contract at Arsenal Football Club."

Arsenal meet Chelsea at Wembley on Sunday in the Community Shield.
