Just two days before the summer transfer window closes Arsène Wenger, the Arsenal manager, faces the very real prospect of a mass exodus from the club as a number of big-name players edge towards the big door at the Emirates Stadium marked 'exit'.

While we reported last night that Chelsea had agreed a fee of £35 million with Arsenal for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, other outlets have suggested that Liverpool are considering a late bid for the versatile midfielder after Monaco rejected the Merseysiders's latest bid of around £65m for Thomas Lemar. However, it is understood that Wenger would prefer to sell Oxlade-Chamberlain to Chelsea than Liverpool who the Frenchman perceives as direct rivals for a top-four spot. Either way, it would appear that Oxlade-Chamberlain is off.

Another player who could be joining Oxlade-Chamberlain in the great Arsenal exodus is Alexis Sánchez who, according to Goal.com, is being targeted by Manchester City who are preparing a bid for the forward.

The Chile international has thus far refused to sign a new deal with Arsenal and throughout the summer transfer window has been linked with a move to Manchester and, let's face it, after Sunday's performance at Anfield where Wenger's side were roundly thumped, who could blame the 28-year-old for fancying a new start?

However, if City fail to lure Sánchez north then they may end up signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the Borussia Dortmund striker who, according to Le10Sport, has talked to the Premier League club.

The France international has been linked with a move to the Premier League for some time now, though this now appear closer than ever after agreeing 'in principle' to an €80m deal to join up with Pep Guardiola at the Etihad Stadium.
