In the second half of Everton's 0-0 draw with Spurs, goalkeeper Hugo Lloris viciously attacked Everton striker Romelu Lukaku's knee with his face. Lloris was knocked unconscious by the impact, but despite the urging of Tottenham's medical staff and captain Michael Dawson, Lloris was emphatic in his desire to stay on. Once he woke up, that is.

"He doesn't remember it so he lost consciousness. It was a big knock but he looked composed and ready to continue," said Spurs boss Villas-Boas.
Talking to BBC Sport, he added: "Hugo seemed assertive and determined to continue and showed great character and personality. We decided to keep him on based on that.
"The call always belongs to me. Brad [Friedel] was ready to come in but the person Hugo is, there were enough signs for him to continue."
Lukaku, who was knocked unconscious himself while scoring his first goal of the season, had to come off in the 86th minute and put ice on his knee. He was booked for the collision.
"Yep. He's good to continue."
