Madrid to bid €150m + Bale for Kane


Real Madrid are set to bid €150 million plus Gareth Bale to sign Tottenham striker Harry Kane, according to  Sport .

Los Blancos value Bale at around €50m, meaning their total bid would be somewhere close to €200m.

They could face competition from Manchester United for the England striker, however, with the Red Devils keen to bolster their own forward line.

Schweinsteiger nearing Chicago Fire return

Bastian Schweinsteiger is nearing a return to the Chicago Fire according to MLSsoccer.com.  

The report says talks between the retired Germany international and the MLS side are progressing and "the Fire expect" to agree to a new deal for the 2018 season, with the midfielder remaining a designated player. 

The deal would also include a team option for the 2019 campaign.

Arsenal have completed the signing of Konstantinos Mavropanos from Greek side PAS Giannina, Goal understands.

The Gunners' new chief scout Sven Mislintat has close ties to the 20-year-old centre-back, who has also attracted interest from Olympiakos, and the Premier Leaguehave snapped him up in a deal worth £1.8 million.

Liverpool are locked in a battle to sign Roma goalkeeper Alisson, according to  Gazzetta dello Sport .

The Reds are keen to add a new keeper to their squad, with neither Simon Mignolet nor Loris Karius able to bring any consistency to Jurgen Klopp's side.

They have turned their attention to Brazil international Alisson, but face competition from Paris Saint-Germain for his signature.

Paris Saint-Germain are set to make a January move for Nice midfielder Jean-Michael Seri, according to the  Daily Mail .

The 26-year-old almost joined Barcelona in the summer, but a £32.5 million bid was rejected by the Ligue 1 side.

Liverpool and Manchester City have also been keeping tabs on Seri's progress, but the Parisiens are keen to win the race over the next month.


Lemar decides to join Liverpool

Monaco star Thomas Lemar has decided to join Liverpool ahead of Arsenal and Manchester United, according to Yahoo Sports

Arsenal tried to sign Lemar last summer, but failed to finalise a €95 million deal on deadline day which, in turn, prevented Alexis Sanchez from joining Manchester City.

Liverpool were also interested in Lemar in the last transfer window and are ready to make a renewed push to sign the France international in January, with Barcelona trying to agree a deal for Philippe Coutinho.

Manchester United have also been linked with Lemar, but the winger has decided he wants to join Liverpool and he could become the replacement for Coutinho at Anfield.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho wants to sign three players during the January transfer window, according to the MailOnline

Mourinho is keen to strengthen his squad in the coming weeks and has identified the areas where he is demanding fresh faces.

Agents have been alerted to United’s desire to sign a right-back, left-back and attacking midfielder as Mourinho tries to address ongoing issues within his squad.


Liverpool eye Ceballos as Coutinho replacement

Liverpool have identified Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos as the man they want to replace Philippe Coutinho, according to Diario Gol

Ceballos is apparently fed up of waiting for a chance to prove himself under Zinedine Zidane and has communicated his desire to leave, through his agent, to president Florentino Perez.

And the Reds are keen to make their move, seeing him as the ideal replacement for Coutinho, who is closing in on a switch to Liga leaders Barcelona.

Arsenal are willing to sell Alexis Sanchez for a fee of over £25 million, according to the Daily Mirror .

The Chile international has attracted serious interest from Manchester City, and is keen to move to the Etihad Stadium.

Arsenal are subsequently ready to acquiesce to his desires, provided they receive an acceptable offer, though any bid will be a major hit on what they were offered in the summer.

Indeed, City were ready to pay over £60m on deadline day, but no deal could be struck.


Ozil yet to make future decision

Arsenal finally opened talks with Mesut Ozil’s representative last month over a contract extension but the German star has yet to make a decision on his future Goal understands.

Ozil is out of contract at the end of the season, and has attracted interest from the likes of Barcelona, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.

He recently bought a new house in London and enjoys life in the capital with a close circle of friends from Turkey and Germany as he continues to consider his options.

There is a growing feeling from the Spanish outfit that a bid over £130 million will get the deal done, with Coutinho having pulled out of Liverpool's match against Burnley on New Year’s Day.

The Brazil international has fallen down the pecking order at Parc des Princes this season and has been heavily linked with a move away.

United have made him their top target for the January window, though only want a loan move for the time being.

PSG will only do business, however, if the loan deal leads to a £40 million summer move.

Manchester City are keen to sign Keylor Navas from Real Madrid this January, report Don Balon .

Real are set to sign another goalkeeper in the winter transfer window and Navas is subsequently considering a move away from the Bernabeu.

Pep Guardiola's side are willing to offer Navas a big contract in order to tempt him to Manchester, where he would provide competition for Ederson.


Umtiti wants time to decide on City move

The 24-year-old has a €60m release clause, but wants time to think over the offer from City before making any decision on his future.

The 25-year-old is determined not to pick up an injury playing for the Reds, and as a result, will play no part in their January fixtures as he seeks a move to Camp Nou during the current transfer window.

Coutinho last played for Liverpool on December 30, as Jurgen Klopp's side defeated Leicester City 2-1 thanks to a Mohamed Salah double. He then sat out their 2-1 victory at Burnley on New Year's Day.

Coutinho pushes for record Barca deal

Philippe Coutinho has repeated his insistence to trade Liverpool for Barcelona in a potential deal that would comfortably surpass the British transfer record, Goal understands.

Given the Brazilian's attitude and application since submitting a transfer request in the summer, the playmaker feels it is only fair for the Reds to accede to his request to leave should they receive a significantly improved proposal that would surpass Paul Pogba’s £89m move from Juventus to Manchester United.
