Manchester City v Arsenal Betting Special: Sterling should prove golden for Guardiola's men

Picking a goalscorer bet for Manchester City's clash with Arsenal on Sunday is a tough ask, with plenty of attacking talent on both sides to choose from.

Not only are City now red-hot favourites for the Premier League title, but they're doing it in style so far. 35 goals scored in just 10 matches is an incredible pace and while they might not be able to keep up that average of 3.5 per game, it does mean this match has the potential to provide fireworks for the Etihad faithful.

Sergio Aguero became Manchester City's all-time leading scorer on 178 goals against Napoli and the Argentina international is 14/5 (3.80) to break the deadlock in this game or just 3/5 (1.60) to net anytime.

Gabriel Jesus made a late cameo in midweek and so could get the nod to lead the line from the start against the Gunners. The 20-year-old has six league goals this term and is 29/10 (3.90) in the first goalscorer market with 888Sport who go 16/25 (1.64) about him on the anytime market.

Alexandre Lacazette hit the first Premier League goal of the campaign inside two minutes when he struck against Leicester City on matchday one. He's 8/1 (9.0) to score first here, just ahead of Alexis Sanchez, who looked destined for a deadline day move to Manchester a few weeks ago. The Chilean is 9/1 (10.0) to net the opener or 5/2 (3.50) anytime.

The best bet though, could come from the home side where Raheem Sterling looks to have kicked on under the stewardship of Pep Guardiola this season. There is potential rotation to worry about of course, as always with City, but the 22-year-old has been in fine form in front of goal so far.

Seven league goals and a further three in the Champions League mean the 11/8 (2.38) about the winger looks appealing against a Gunners side that have already leaked 13 goals this season. Sterling has already equalled his Premier League tally from last season and sits just one behind leading Golden Boot contender Harry Kane.

The same price is available on Leroy Sane, who has also been in fantastic form, scoring in four of his last five top flight matches.
