Nketiah signs new Arsenal contract

Arsenal youngster Eddie Nketiah has signed a new long-term contract with the club.

The 18-year-old Nketiah made his Arsenal debut in a brief cameo in the Europa League against BATE Borisov in September and has since featured three more times for the first team.

The striker made a big impact when he came on late to score twice in a 2-1 Carabao Cup win over Norwich City after extra time, earning praise from club legend Thierry Henry for his efforts.

Arsenal confirmed the England Under-19 international has been rewarded with a new deal alongside fellow promising players Matt Macey and Ben Sheaf, who also made their Gunners debuts this term.

Macey, 23, lined up in goal for the first time in the win over Norwich before playing against Red Star Belgrade in the Europa League, while Sheaf made a brief substitute appearance against the Serbian side.

The trio committed their futures to the club after Joe Willock extended his deal, although the north London side have not revealed the exact length of the contracts.
