Liverpool and Man United the big winners in Champions League draw as Spurs and Celtic land in Groups of Death

Liverpool and Man United were handed two of the kinder Champions League group stage draws this evening, with Spurs facing a daunting journey to reach the last 16.

Liverpool are in Group E alongside Spartak Moscow, Sevilla and Maribor while Man United are joined in Group A by Benfica, Basel and CSKA Moscow.

Meanwhile, Spurs are swimming with sharks in Group H, and will have to play Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Apoel, while Celtic have a similarly tough draw in Group B, with Bayern Munich, PSG and Anderlecht.

Chelsea also have a tricky draw, grouped with Atletico Madrid, Roma and Qarabag, while Man City will be pleased to be in Group F alongside Shaktar Donetsk, Napoli and Feyenoord.
