Leicester v Chelsea - Story of the match

N'Golo Kante starred at the King Power Stadium - for Chelsea this time

N'Golo Kante returned to haunt his former club Leicester as he got on the score-sheet in Chelsea's 2-1 win at the King Power Stadium.

Kante's long-range effort early in the second half doubled the visitors' lead after Alvaro Morata had headed them in front just before half-time.

Jamie Vardy reduced the deficit from the penalty spot just after the hour mark but Chelsea comfortably saw the game out to record a third straight Premier League victory.

TWEET OF THE MATCH

"Kante has scored against Leicester. How f*****g depressing." - Gary Lineker‏ (@GaryLineker) reacts to the former Foxes favourite netting against his old side.

STAR MAN

Morata is clearly settling into English football quickly and he produced a solid centre forward's display on Saturday. Willing to run in behind and hold the ball up, he provided a real focus point for Chelsea. Deserved a goal and took it well. His battle with Wes Morgan was a good contest.

MOMENT OF THE MATCH

Kante's goal. The former Leicester star was afforded too much room outside the penalty area and his low shot crept into the bottom corner of the net. Schmeichel appeared to react late and will be disappointed to be beaten from that far out. Kante did not celebrate his goal. Some Leicester fans applauded.
