Belgium confirm in-form Marouane Fellaini out for 'a couple of weeks' after knee sprain

Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini will miss the Red Devils' clash with Liverpool next weekend after injuring his knee while on international duty with Belgium last night.
Belgium beat Bosnia 4-3 in a World Cup qualifier, with the state of the battered pitch the tie was played on possibly contributing to Fellaini's injury as he was forced out of the game mid-way through the first half.
This initial reaction to Fellaini's condition was downbeat, with Belgium manager Roberto Martinez making these comments after the game.
"We are all worried about Fellaini. We fear that there's ligament damage," confirmed the former Everton manager.
However, Belgium have since confirmed that Fellaini sprained his MCL, which will rule him out for a 'couple of weeks'.
Fellaini scored twice for United in their 4-0 win against Crystal Palace in the last round of Premier League fixtures before the current international break, as he recovered from a heavy Shane Long tackle to play in a comfortable Old Trafford victory.
The powerhouse midfielder will miss next weekend’s massive game against Liverpool at Anfield, with Man United then travelling to Portugal the following Tuesday to take on Benfica in the Champions League.
Fellaini is returning back to England, where his injury will be further assessed.
