West Brom v Stoke - Story of the match
Substitute Peter Crouch took advantage of a terrible defensive mix-up to earn Stoke a 1-1 Premier League draw at West Brom.
The 36-year-old was gifted the easiest of chances in the 77th minute when Baggies defender Ahmed Hegazi seemed to fail to heed a call from Ben Foster and sliced his clearance almost out of his goalkeeper's hands.
Jay Rodriguez's first league goal for West Brom had earlier looked like maintaining their 100 per cent start to the season, the summer signing from Southampton heading home smartly in the 61st minute.

"Stoke are level as @petercrouch stoops to 7 feet to nod home" - Gary Lineker reflects on another headed goal for the towering Crouch
STAR MAN
Gareth Barry: the 36-year-old's legs may be going, but his football brain remains as sharp as ever and his performance showed why West Brom were keen to snap him up from Everton. He dictated Albion's play from his holding midfield role, disrupting Stoke attacks time and again.
MOMENT OF THE MATCH
Albion, leading 1-0, looked on their way to a third straight league win until a moment of madness at the back in the 77th minute. Hegazi would surely have received a call from his goalkeeper Foster, poised to make an easy claim, but still attempted a clearance, slicing the ball towards his own goal where Crouch was on hand to head home.
ALL CALM
There was plenty of potential for fireworks at The Hawthorns, even if respective managers Tony Pulis and Mark Hughes claimed to have buried the hatchet after years of animosity. West Brom old boy Saido Berahino was back at his former club following his acrimonious exit, but he did not get off the bench, Baggies fans having to be content to boo him as he warmed up.
