United go into the half-time interval two goals to the good at the LC Rail Stadium tonight.

Slaven Bilic's side, featuring seven changes to the team that started at St Mary's at the weekend took control of the match after a nervy start against their League 2 opponents.

Although it took 40 minutes for the Irons to open the scoring, the home side were limited to one decent chance in the first 45, with current hot property Mo Eisa curling a tame shot into the arms of Adrian after the ex-Greenwich Borough striker had created space by nutmegging James Collins.

Both Angelo Ogbonna and Diafra Sakho went close, Ogbonna having a powerful header cleared off the line whilst 'keeper Flett saved at close range from Sakho.

United took the lead on 40 minutes. Mark Noble's through ball found Sakho in space and, although the striker's turn and shot were slightly scruffy the effort was good enough to sneak past Flett.

Three minutes later Sakho turned provider, feeding Andre Ayew who passed the ball low into the corner past the advancing 'keeper.
