Slaven Bilic's second string eased their way through to the next stage of the Carabao Cup with a comprehensive victory against Championship side Bolton at the Olympic Stadium tonight.

The manager made TEN changes to the starting line-up that secured a point at The Hawthorns against West Brom on Saturday as the Hammers went on to secure their biggest win of the season so far.

Angelo Ogbonna set United on their way just four minutes into the game, when the Italian defender converted a well-placed free kick from Marco Arnautovic.

The lead was doubled on the half-hour mark with the Austrian winger once again at the centre of the action; Arnautovic added another assist to his tally by setting up Diafra Sakho for an easy finish giving West Ham what would prove to be an unassailable advantage.

The final goal and the icing on the cake arrived in the last of four minutes of added-on time - and from the most unexpected of sources!

Trying his luck, with victory already safely secured, full back Arthur Masuaku let fly from distance - and his shot ripped into the back of Howard's net to complete a comfortable win for Bilic's side.

The draw for the fourth round will take place on Wednesday.
