Surely Klopp must know some young up and coming German CB's that we can bring in?

Everyday im astounded by how cheap we are ;D

Can't wait for Dejan's next big interview where he'll tell us how he's been watching Baresi and he's ready to clone him. Absolute F***ing clown that should never play for us again.

Time to get behind this man now. He's a confidence player, do I hope he get plenty of encouragement for the crowd.

How about he performs regularly to an acceptable level and not tell the supporters that hes about to.

He's not as bad as people think. He's prone to bad runs however each time he has come out of them with good performances.

I think he's an OK starter, the issue is he's got no one breathing down his neck to make him stay on his toes and not get complacent.

I image some replies will be 'the problem is he's F***ing sh*te'... he's not been that bad since his first season where he was truly awful. He's got better since then and I expect that to continue as his partnership with Matip grows.

Yet another game missed by this player for no clear reason. Dyou think he's coming back from int nat duty saying he's tired or the club are making that decision for him? Either way can you imagine Rafa telling Carra he was benched after x2 ints he'd have told him to go take a jump. We need centre backs that play and are reliable, this fella seems to be made of glass and Ragnar is his stand in

He played the full game against Kosovo on the 3rd of September (the game was moved, not sure of the exact reason). He then played the full 90 against Turkey on the 5th of September. We had an early kickoff against City on the 9th of September. Do you think it would have been a good idea to let him play his 3rd game in the space of 6 days? It clearly was a decision made by the staff to prevent injury rather than because of an injury.

Keep in mind that we have 3 games coming up the next 6 days and an other 2 after that on the 23rd and the 26th. Would you really have wanted Klopp to risk him? We have to rotate. He'll be back in the team for the Seville and Burnley games.

The kosovo game was abandoned after about 20 minutes because of a water logged pitch and they played the rest of the game the day after on a very heavy pitch and then travelled to turkey a couple of days later

      Thanks didn't realise that.
Ok get why he didn't play sat, the problem is that Ragnar Klavan is the next go to. Can't believe I am typing that sentence after a window where JK supposedly had £100M+ burning a hole in his pocket
I know he didn't cover himself in glory Sat but I'd have Can at CB before Klavan, I thought Can played well as a CB under Rodgers

The only positive about him tonight was that he didn't try to do a step-over. At one point I thought he was going to do it, then he paused and passed the ball backward.  :)

No, wait. Improving on him is VERY difficult, not as easy as you may think! And it's never his fault, it's the SYSTEM! Or better still, we can use a forum's favourite: it's actually Henderson's fault.

Think Jürgen Klopp feels the same.  However, he had the ability to do something about it.

I can't defend this player any longer. That so called attempted clearance today was farcical how does he end up on his arse trying and failing to clear that ball? Absolutely comical. Jürgen you cannot tell us you couldn't have put your hands on someone better than him and Klavan
