      Infuriating player.
      He has had some great performances for us over the years BUT the seem so distant now.
      It just comes down to ability and football intelligence now, both of which he seems to lack currently.
      It's frustrating as I held out hope that he would become this foundation of a solid defense but it ain't happening.
      Klaven can't be trusted to come in so I wonder if we have to go to a back 3?! Seriously.
      Only other option is to try out Gomez with Matip. A fa cup game has to be that opportunity.

      You could go to a Icelandic U12 B team practice squad match and ask the team to give you a striker of the bench and he would be better than Lovern at this point. A few days ago someone one here predicted a lineup and forgot to put Lovern or Klavan in it. That 10 man squad was the best lineup I had seen submitted all year

      All he had to do was stay on his feet and put the ball out for a corner, after watching a few replays now, it was actually harder to do what he ended up doing.

      People were raving about him when we signed him - I wasnt
      People said he would be a commanding centre back - I didnt
      People said I shouldnt complain and he is what the manager wanted - so F***ing what
      People said that i couldnt complain as he was a new signing

      mate - this guy was always sh*t, his performances have been 90% sh*t and 10% loosely acceptable.

      what makes it worse is that he continues to come out and say how 'we have to do better' etc, and continues to perform like a school kid, and we had the pleasure of paying £20 mill  :lmao: :mad:

      I knew him from his time in the french Ligue1 at Lyon, he was the same. So when we signed him from So'ton all i could say was "Lovren? Really?"

      We were fooled because he had one good season with them.

      It's no easy task being so sh*te at defending!!  It takes a lot of hard work and commitment. 

      Honestly though, he's probably not even good enough to be 3rd choice.... Not signing at least 1 CB is looking worse and worse every day....

      Skrtel in his last season for us was completely horrific, I remember him coming on and costing us 3 goals vs Saints. Lovren is playing just as bad this season and I hope this is his last with us. He can take Migs with him too.
