How is he supposed to do that if he can't have a look at each of them in competitive circumstances on a regular basis. I would also expect Ward to be our first choice for the domestic Cup games. Each gets a fair amount of game time this season, so each are happy and Klopp gets to view the performances of each to determine who is number one going forward. Hell, why even have a number one? If we traded up on goal keepers and had two top class ones, this would be a way of keeping both happy. It seems eminently sensible to me.
Weekly wages are, Mignolet is on 55k, Karius 25k and Ward 10k. At the end of the season, if either of these Karius or Ward are as good as Mignolet this season, they need a pay rise. It is not hard, Mignolet doesn't do much.

Keepers are less productive with no competition.
Not sure what relevance that has to my post?

The same scouts who brought him to City brought him here - they must have seen something. You would have thought it wouldn't have been too hard to shift Migs but there you go. At least he was inexpensive; right? 😒

You said the keeper should be cast in iron stone for everything
This means no competition for goalkeeping spot.
I said keepers perform better with competition.
      Does it make sense now?
If not, let me know and I will draw up some flow charts.

Where did I say "for everything"?  The "top" sides play one keeper only for the majority of Prem and CL games, not chopping and changing.  As far as squad rotation goes, the keeper is generally the least rotated player. I never said no competition either.  Stop inferring things that aren't there.
Does this make sense now or do I need to etch-a-sketch it for you?

For some reason he reminds me of Lindegaard. Talks a lot, has the body language of "I am inviting you to come and hit me for no reason", but, doesn't translate any of that to the field (until now).

In 2009, Achtenberg replaced Xavi Valero and we have had all these goal keeping problems ever since. Even Pepe's form went downhill since Achtenberg's appointment.

Because I think Klopp would like to give Karius another chance. Can't hurt to play a young hungry keeper over a keeper in his prime and still doing average.

If Karius plays well in the Champions league then Klopp has a good reason to play him instead of Migno-flap.

I agree to an extent, but this game? I guess he needs a big game to show he can handle it? Makes sense, but dang it scares me. HAHA. I want Danny Ward myself

There must be a reason why Danny doesn't get a sniff.

It really is a tough call between Migs and Karius, Migs is probably the better keeper right now but we all know Migs's top level, and its not great whereas we just don't know how good Karius can get, same as De Gea when he started was fairly sh*t but now is the best on the world or certainly right up there. I'm of the opinion that we need to give Karius a go in a run of games but last season when we did that he played some real stinkers and you just can't afford to give a keeper to many chances at this level, it's a hell of a problem.

Loris needs a run of games if he's ever going to improve.

I want Karius to be tested tonight not like against Arsenal because I want to know what he is capable of.

As you may know, I prefer Mignolet over Karius but I agree with Klopp that Loris plays in Champions League so to know if he is better than Simon.

I honestly want Karius to come out successfully tonight because I want Liverpool to be all good. I will rise my hand to all Karius' fans that you were right if he will be playing better than Simon. I prefer success more than pride, or "I told you so...".

I'd just like to find a no.1 that's good enough to take us forward.

One point I would make in Karius defence is that he has yet to make the amount of howlers, that Mignolet has made. Will be interesting to see if he is tested more than the Arsenal game, I hope not personally ;)

Not sure about the lack of howlers he was fairly sh*t last season before he got replaced by Mignolet but hopefully he's improved a bit since then. i do think he is a good keeper and has more potential than Migs but right now Migs is better, it is tricky.

Karius looks nervous and a but rusty, that will be gone with a good enough run.
It's time to let Karius have a go, I think he will improve quickly.

Still not on the scale of Mignolet, let's not forget his sh*t patch literally started back in the title run-in of 2014, Karius still got a way to go to catch with all the F***ing howlers Mignolet has made.

Hard to judge I agree as I thought Karius looked very good, like a few others against Bayern and then looked shaky as F**k every time the ball was played back to him against Arsenal.

Never really agreed with playing one keeper in the league and another in Europe, I'd rather just decide on a no.1 and go with that in both comps.

Tested in an amount that is decent for a football match. He needs to play without fair.

      Distribution good.
What he could deal with he did well.
The 2 goals he couldn't do much about. 1st goal he will never save after he expects Dejan to make an easy clearance and 2nd one is a 1 on 1 where the striker bends it in the top corner.
Done enough for me to not get dropped and be given more opportunity.

He's not getting dropped it's just not his go yet until the next chanpions league game.

I believe Migs has the FA tournaments (League and Cup)

Karius has the UEFA tournaments Champion's League/maybe Europa League

Ward has the FL tournament  (League Cup)

Stupid idea in my opinion and i'm not sure what it's all about but probably more to do with having 3 keepers on the same average level than any tactical/fitness issue.

I dont know but could be he is giving them all a chance to show what they have and will F**k one or two of them off at the end of the season.
