What a signing. Probably the closest thing to Mané we could've found. Our attack will be devastating if those two stay fit the whole season.

Geez he gets some chances, doesn't he?

I reckon 1 day he will score 5.

Had his best performance for us in a red shirt today.

Don't know how he missed that early chance and thankfully we never looked like ruing that. (needs a new right foot)

However, he was buzzing around the pitch and his goal wow, made by himself, deep in our own half and ran the length of the pitch to slot it home.

      Well done Mo.

Already said this guy could go really deep for you mate. He's exciting to watch and never gives up on a ball. For me he's going to be a very good play maker not forgetting he will probably bag you 15 goals + in his first season for you. The team have a good shape to them up front. Get the back sorted and you'll be going home with a hard on.  :lmao:

Exciting player to watch. He does get into very good scoring positions and no doubt needs to become more clinical, however i cannot fault his desire for goals.
Peach of a cross for Sturridge too. More of the same please :)

Welcome mate. The dude is a filthy lil goal scorer, huh? Though he and Stu have different games they both share the same production of scoring goals, even on off days. Lets hope his luck with injury is better than Daniels.

I think Salah has been very very good for us. To come in and settle into the pace of PL let alone our game, gel with the other players and start scoring so quickly is a very good sign. He's misses a few chances as well, but I like that he's always there and thereabouts getting into those positions.

Very happy with him, long may it continue.

Internationals, for me, are a waste of time, and just another money making exercise for governing bodies.

      It's only minor apparently.

Mo is expected to play again on Tuesday.

      Good to hear!

Although hope him playing on Tuesday isn't risky.

I think he will prove to be a very good signing.

From the clips on youtube and his short time here, I would say his finishing is a little bit weak but his other attribures of speed, ball control and directness will present him with lots of chances and enough will hit the back of the net to hit good numbers for us.

On top of that i've noticed he's always getting to the back post and lots of his goals for us and Roma have been tap ins from a few yards out both from that position and also shots palmed back out from the goalkeeper where he's there to tap in to any empty net.

It's a good instinct to have and can get us some cheap goals.

'Tis indeed mate and a predatory instinct we've been lacking from middle/wide for a long time.

I thought Gini might bring it when we signed him but Jürgen has him playing in a deeper more disciplined role.

Great addition - real threat and a(nother) match winner......you can't have too many of them!

Yip. He curls his early good chance in, different game.

Great pace, and generally did well, but final ball needs to improve.  And his shooting.

I think he could try to use his weaker foot more. Right now he tries everything with his left foot and becomes too predictable.

A couple of chances yesterday to do something before it all went pear shaped.

Most notably when he darted in from the right on goal.

Simply doesn't have enough composure in front of goal. Should have easily doubled his goal tally already this season.

In games like that when you don't take your chances you end up paying for them, Salah looks as though he needs 3 or 4 of those kind of chances to actually tuck one away.

That could have changed the whole complexion of the game.

While I agree with you, part of the problem is that Mo is so good at getting those type of 1v1 goal scoring opportunities.  His pace, clever movement, and work rate earn him chances many other players would never see.

I think he should work on shooting high and hard into the near post rather than always going for the low slotted shot into the far post.  Keepers are anticipating his sidefoot finish.  A laced shot, into the near post upper corner would have beaten Ederson today.

Imagine what if we have an instinctive goal scorer (fox in the box type) or pacy cf at the same wavelength to Salah and Mane, you could easily damage your brain remembering goals score between them :D

We lacked body in the box when Salah or Mane take the ball to the position they maybe better to pass to teammate but no one there as our Firmino always drop back too deep or he can't catch with speed so finally Salah have to decide to shoot and more often it's waste chances.

And I think if Salah start on the left side could make his final pass a lot better as he seemed hesitate to pass with his weaker right foot.
