Since Mane's red card suspension he's not been the same player, hasn't settled back in at all, in fact he's been very selfish on the ball and piss poor If you want my opinion.
Our formation with Mane and Salah as the two wingers, apart from the Arsenal game, just isn't working for me neither.
Maybe that was because, in that game, Arsenal played with a back three which allowed them both the space.
It didn't work in the Burnley or Newcastle games or in both European games lets face it..

So, with Mane out it really is time for a change.
Woodburns in the squad isn't he?
Put Robertson up against Valencia, that'll be interesting.
Oh, and we bought a player for £40 million quid recently didn't we?..play him !
As Fatkopite10 mentioned give Wilson a go..
There's no better bapitism of fire than a home game against the Mancs  ;D

Anything could happen in this game and it invariably will.
The main battle will be in midfield ; Matip/Can/Herrera/Henderson/Mata/Coutinho, win that and you win the game!

Oh and if and when Jürgen brings his subs on he needs to do it earlier instead of putting Solanke or Sturridge on with 4 minutes to go.

I want us to play with a 4..2..3..1 formation especially with Sadio out. Can and Hendo in midfield and keep it solid and provide as much protection for the back four as they can. Phil on the left, Salah on the right with Bobby behind Danny. It might be a bit risky changing our shape before a massive game but it might through up a few surprises for Jose.

Mane was really poor in the last match, but we'll still miss him, think he'd have raised his game for this.

Like someone said, we bought a guy for 40mill for exactly this type of situation - problem is, he's looked like a donkey so far ... we signed F**k all new bodies, so we really need the ones we brought in (this one for big money) to get the F***ing finger out sharpish.

They are much improved, though maybe haven't had a tough test. Pity our form hasn't been better. Thank F**k Coutinho should play afaik. We generally show up against the better sides, but hoping more than expecting a good result.
Looking forward to the game though, hope the fans make it a great atmosphere :)

Hate to say it but this could be a season defining game already. Without Mane and the way we’ve been struggling to score, if we lose here it’s not going to get any easier for Klopp and the boys.

Upon hearing the news I hope Salah is now forced to be padded up & then wrapped in cotton wool until kick off time!!

Talk about a dagger in the heart, right now I'm not fancying our chances on Saturday.

Mané's injury is not a disaster since it's "just" 6 weeks and he wasn't playing lights out recently. If someone would offer me a draw today I'd take it for we are fragile and ManU is hot.

      Liverpool at home?

      Take a draw right now?

F**k that hedging sh*t right off.

I'd roll the dice and play for 3pts.

Atmosphere alone in this match should raise the lads game if nothing else. We need something like that right now because we haven't found that within ourselves, recently  Good game to turn things around IMO.

Can't believe I am thinking this but the injury to Elbows may be a blessing in disguise for our defence.

No doubt Maureen will bring his expensive new Bus to be parked firmly at Anfield. We will have to be wary of them on the counter, need Hendo to be more disciplined and provide protection to the back 4.

I would have TAA in for Gomez as he is quicker and against the likes of Rashfird and Martial will be needed.

Coutinho moves into the front 3 for me and time for Ox to show what he is worth.

Will be close and nervy as these games usually are but we are at Anfield and should be beating these.

I wasn't looking forward to this match even without all the issues as per below.

Firstly, we are sh*te after international breaks.
Secondly, our two Brazilians will be tired after the long flight and are not normally at their best after international break.
Thirdly, Mo Salah will be in a celebratory mood and I wonder how much will be on the ball. I hope he though.
Fourthly, Sadio Mane. Well, what else can I say.

So, I am very pessimistic about this one. :(

      We will win 2-1.  :D

Our sh*t Summer transfer business has bitten us in the arse already.

Need to raise our game big time to get a result on Saturday hope the lads turn up they usually do in the big games but confidence is shot in the squad right now.

Agreed, which is one of the reasons why I would opt to play Sturridge instead.

Regardless of circumstances, Firmino is guaranteed the starting spot as our #9. Stealth striker that he is.

             Can Hendo Gini
        Salah Firmino Coutinho

Not sure I see Jürgen starting Danny/AOC, think he'll go with his tried an trusted for this.
Wouldn't be surprised to see Moreno start, but don't think Robertson has done a whole lot wrong when he's played.
Would bring back Emre to get some bite into the middle.
Firmino up top, not in great scoring form, but neither is Danny, and Bob is probably due a goal :)
Would prefer Cou more central, but don't think Bob gets in the game enough from wide.
Get some tackles in, get the crowd up for it - need them behind us for this one...

Started the week thinking we could get a caning off the Mancs.
Then the news on Mane, wtf, internationals are a complete waste of fcuking time, England could somehow lose the World Cup if they were the only team in the tournament.
Anyhows, as the week progresses so does the hope, and my love for this wonderful club makes you want to win so badly. 2-1 to the Redmen in a tight match with our winner coming right at the end. C'mon the lads, will be watching this in a pub full of part time Mancs so should be fun, must remember to behave myself

Ward; TAA, Matip, Lovren, Robertson; Hendo, Wijnaldum, Coutinho; Salah, Solanke, Ox.

Just as much chance of us winning 4-0 as there is of us losing 4-0 IMO.

I know this is never going to happen, but this is how I would line up:

We need our fresh legs on the pitch: Milner, Matip, Moreno, Sturridge.

Milner: I'd rather not see Gomez go up against Rashford and later on in the game probably Martial. He has looked pretty poor against pacey, tricky wing players and he's a yellow card magnet in that position. I'd rather not see Trent on the pitch either. Mourinho, just like any other manager, will see him as the weak spot in our defence and target him all day long. We need experience and leadership on the pitch against the mancs, so Milner for me. He has dealt with Sterling well on a few occasions, he should be able to do so with Rashford too.

Can: For some reason he always seems to do really well in this type of games. We'll need his bite in midfield. We'll probably have the majority of the ball and when he has time on the ball, he does well as a #6. Should be feeling pretty confident too after his belter during the break. I'd also rather see him help out the CB's in physical battles with Lukaku than Henderson to be honest.

Firmino and Sturridge: Just a case of getting all our fire power out on the pitch. Both like to drop deep, if we could get them to interchange, it gives Matic and the CB's something else to think about. We could get Sturridge facing goal more with Firmino either running beyond him or being used more as a 'focal point' for Sturridge to play off. Sturridge does better with a bit of a partner.

Coutinho: I remember Mourinho putting Herrera on the pitch with the sole purpose of keeping Hazard out of the game. With that in mind, I'd rather have him start out wide than central because it makes it more difficult for Herrera / United's midfield to keep things packed in the middle without having someone else drop deep.
