Arsenal have announced that general admission ticket prices at the Emirates have been frozen for the eighth time in 12 seasons.

The Gunners will also provide a further discount to travelling supporters, for whom the Premier League has already capped tickets at £30, for the fourth consecutive season.

The £4 reduction means Arsenal fans will pay £26 throughout the 2017-18 season.

Arsenal will also continue to make 26,000 tickets for each home League Cup tie available at £10.

Chief Executive Ivan Gazidis said: "Our ticketing approach is designed to ensure we have as many people attending games at Emirates Stadium as possible and helps encourage the next generation of Arsenal fans to come to games and experience the thrill of live matches.

"It also pays special recognition to supporters who travel up and down the country to watch the team play."

Whilst Arsenal have frozen season ticket prices until at least the 2018-19 season the club did raise Platinum member prices by three per cent for 2017-18.

Arsenal had the most expensive season tickets in England during the 2016-17 campaign, priced at £2,013.

However the Gunners have offered supporters a reduction to the price of season tickets for the coming term in light of their failure to qualify for the Champions League.

On several occasions towards the end of last season, as Arsene Wenger’s side battled through their worst run of form in two decades, thousands of Arsenal fans chose not to take their seats at nominally “sell-out” games.

That has led to calls from the Arsenal Supporters Trust for the club to consider banning season ticket holders who regularly fail to turn up.
