It would be fair to say that Arsenal fans were far from impressed with EA Sports when Thierry Henry’s FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT) Icon card was first revealed.

FIFA’s 90 overall rating was far too low and 88 for shooting seemed an insult to Arsenal’s record goalscorer.

As for giving him a starting position of left wing? It was like EA Sports had learned nothing from Arsene Wenger, the man who transformed Henry from a promising young wide man to the most formidable striker in world football.

Well the good news is FIFA have fixed all that, if it was even broke in the first place.

FIFA’s latest announcement has revealed that each of the game’s 16 Icons will have three separate FUT cards to reflect their career trajectory.

Unsurprisingly Henry’s card from 2002, when he was in his pomp at Arsenal, is the best of his trio. An overall rating of 93. A shooting score of 91 and 94 for pace. The striker position.

Now that’s more like it!
