Aaron Ramsey has expressed disappointment at Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's Arsenal exit.
Arsene Wenger decided to cash in after the 24-year-old rejected an extension to a contract - thought to be worth £150,000 a week - which was set to expire next summer.
Chelsea were keen on Oxlade-Chamberlain but the midfielder opted to join Liverpool on Deadline Day.
Kieran Gibbs has left for West Brom earlier this week, while Carl Jenkinson was sent on loan to Birmingham as Arsenal's British contingent dwindles.
Ramsey wrote on Instagram: "Another of our British boys heading on to new things.
"Not only have we lost a great player we've lost a great guy in the changing room and It is sad to see you go mate.
"Had some great memories over the years playing along side you and I wish you all the best with this new chapter in your life."
Ramsey initially added "#shaaambles" to the end of his post leading some to speculate upon Ramsey's true feelings on the transfer, but Standard Sport reported at the time that this was actually Oxlade-Chamberlain's nickname at the Gunners - a point Ramsey later confirmed in a tweet.
