Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has posted a timely tease to fans after Arsenal target Thomas Lemar scored twice in a 4-0 win for France on deadline day.

The Monaco winger snubbed a last-minute move to Arsenal on the basis that he was unwilling to play for a Europa League club, after a British-record £92million bid was lodged by the Gunners as they looked to potentially replace Alexis Sanchez.

Les Blues’ World Cup Qualifier against Netherlands in Paris on Thursday night added further time complications to an already difficult deal. However, it did not seem to bother the 21-year-old who notched two second-half goals in the comfortable win, including an impressive left-footed volley.

After the game Pogba took to Instagram to cause a stir amongst fans, posting a snap of himself and Lemar with the caption ‘Happy with yesterday's result, working for the next objective’ with his 'AgentP' hashtag.

The former Juventus man earned the nickname ‘Agent P’ after posting numerous times alongside close friend Romelu Lukaku from Los Angeles ahead of the striker's move from Everton earlier this summer.
