Antonio Conte has admitted he is worried after seeing his Chelsea side lose 3-0 to Roma on Tuesday, but said he hopes to only see such a poor performance once from his players.

Chelsea put in one of their worst showings under Conte on Tuesday when they were defeated 3-0 by Roma at the Stadio Olimpico - a result that saw the Italians overtake the Blues in their Champions League group.

The loss was characterised by a mixture of individual errors and a lacklustre collective performance from the Blues, with Thibaut Courtois admitting afterwards that Chelsea lost their fighting spirit as the game progressed.

And Conte admitted that Roma showed more will than the visitors, but insisted his team would sit down to analyse what went wrong in the Italian capital ahead of hosting Manchester United on Sunday.

He told BT Sport: "When you lose 3-0, it means it wasn’t a good performance. Our first half was good, we created many chances to score, but to be 2-0 down was unfair.

"But in the second half, it was a really bad performance. Roma showed more will to fight and more desire to win the game. I’m very disappointed with our second half. For this performance, we all have to take responsibility.

"When you concede three goals, you must be worried. It means something doesn’t work.

"It’s very difficult now, but we have to analyse the game. We need to work on the tactical aspect. We are working less on this aspect this season. We have to look at ourselves. Tonight was a bad night for us. Just one night, I hope."
