Harry Kane was in ruthless form as the Tottenham striker scored a hat-trick to earn Spurs a 3-0 Premier League victory at high-flying Burnley on Saturday evening.

There was drama from the off at Turf Moor as Dele Alli was booked for a rash challenge after just four minutes before winning a penalty three minutes later after going down under slight contact from Kevin Long.

Despite the protests of the Burnley faithful, Kane stepped up to coolly slot the ball past Nick Pope as Spurs got to the interval ahead.

Spurs then took control after the break with Heung-min Son wasting a gilt-edged chance, but Kane was not as forgiving as he provided a clinical finish after a simple Moussa Sissoko through-ball split the Clarets' defence wide open 21 minutes from time.

The victory sees Spurs leapfrog both Burnley and Arsenal into fifth place in the table, just a point behind Liverpool in the race for Champions League qualification.
