Antonio Conte believes Kevin De Bruyne is a "complete" player after the Manchester City star scored the match winner against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

City dominated their Premier League clash against the champions on Saturday evening and were finally rewarded in the second half when De Bruyne

combined with Gabriel Jesus to net the only goal of the game in stunning fashion with his long-range powerful strike past compatriot Thibaut Courtois.

De Bruyne was sold by former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho to Wolfsburg in 2014, but has since become a key player for City after joining the club for a then-club record fee of £55m a year-and-a-half later.

After his performance against his former side on Saturday, Conte admitted De Bruyne has become a "top" player - echoing sentiments by City boss Pep Guardiola who said the Belgian has taken a step forward in his development as a footballer.

"We are talking about a top player," Conte said of De Bruyne. "He's a good player - a complete player. He is good tactically, [he's] fast and has a good personality."

Guardiola added in his post-match press conference following City's 1-0 win over Chelsea: "He can do absolutely everything.

"After, without the ball, he's the most humble, the most shy guy.

"If I have to run 100km for the team, I will do that.

"He's one of our captains. I think he makes a step forward and people feel comfortable having him on the pitch."
