Chelsea are close to securing another of Antonio Conte's targets in Fernando Llorente, who he has wanted since January.

Chelsea have held positive discussions with the Welsh club and Chelsea are confident the transfer will go through after negotiations stepped up on Tuesday.

Swansea are in talks with Manchester City over resigning Wilfred Bony and will allow Llorente to leave once that move has been completed.

Chelsea were initially quoted a fee of over £30m for Llorente earlier in the summer, but now they could be getting him for less than half that.

Everton have also made an enquiry, but Llorente has made it clear that he only wants to make a move to Chelsea.

The 32-year-old scored 15 League goals last season after joining from Sevilla and is being viewed as back-up to main striker Alvaro Morata.

Michy Batshuayi, who joined from Marseille for £33.1m last year, has struggled to make an impact at the start of the season and a number of clubs are interested in taking him on loan.

Batshuayi wants to stay at Chelsea to fight for his place but the arrival of Llorente may change his mind.
