Chelsea's Premier League title defence got off to the worst possible start on Saturday, but Manchester United left Blues fans reeling 24 hours later.
Antonio Conte's depleted squad slipped to a shock 3-2 defeat to Burnley at Stamford Bridge, with Gary Cahill and Cesc Fabregas shown red cards to shrink their options ahead of next Sunday's trip to Tottenham.
Conte has been left frustrated this summer after missing out on £75million Romelu Lukaku to United, while the Italian coach has also made no secret of being unimpressed at losing Nemanja Matic to Jose Mourinho as well.
And in typical fashion, Lukaku and Matic were in impressive form on Sunday as Mourinho's Red Devils thrashed West Ham 4-0 to go top of the table.
Lukaku sent United into the break a goal ahead after finishing a fine pass from Marcus Rashford, and doubled the lead after the break by heading home a Henrikh Mkhitaryan free kick.
Former Chelsea midfielder Matic ran the midfield to allow Paul Pogba the freedom to get forward, with the Frenchman rounding off the scoring late on after Anthony Martial had netted the third.
