Graeme Le Saux believes Antonio Conte will be frustrated with the pause in Premier League football because he will be keen to "correct" Chelsea's mistakes.

The defeat was Chelsea's second in the Premier League this term, with the first also coming in west London when the Blues went 3-2 down to Burnley in their first match of the campaign.

Chelsea next travel to take on rock-bottom Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday 14 October and Le Saux thinks that while Conte will not have welcomed the break in club football, he will have been happy about trying to help top scorer Alvaro Morata regain full fitness following his hamstring injury.

Betfair ambassador Le Saux said: "Conte is probably a bit frustrated as he’d like to rectify what happened against City this weekend.

"If you have a performance like that where things don’t go your way, you’re always eager as a manager and as a team to correct it straight away.

"However, the international break does offer him a period of grace to assess how bad Morata’s injury is and hopefully get him back into the side as quickly as possible."
