Crystal Palace will not 'panic-buy' after Liverpool loss, says Frank de Boer

New Crystal Palace boss Frank de Boer admits he still has work to do after losing at Liverpool as he looks to make further additions before the end of the transfer window.

Sadio Mane scored in the 73rd minute as Jurgen Klopp's Reds got their season up and running with a 1-0 Premier League victory at Anfield on Saturday.

The defeat leaves Palace 19th in the table as the Eagles are without a point from their opening two games, but De Boer is on the lookout for fresh faces to bring to Selhurt Park - as long as they are good enough.

"Still we are looking, of course," he told reporters. "If we think this is a really quality injection for the squad we don't hesitate, but it has to be the right one.

"No panic-buying or anything like that. Really it's a quality injection for the squad, of course we are looking for that.

"I think they (Liverpool) were at times frustrated that they could not play around us, between us, and that is a very good compliment for the team.

"But you have to reward yourself for that and at the end it's all about the points and we still have empty hands right now.

"I have full confidence we will get our points very soon."
