Eden Hazard is not ruling out Chelsea catching Premier League leaders Manchester City in the title race although he admitted Pep Guardiola's side have been "top" this season.

The win for Chelsea keeps them nine points behind Guardiola's side, but moves the champions to within one point of third-placed Tottenham.

Hazard insisted after the victory at the Vitality Stadium that there could be twists and turns in the Premier League season but conceded City are playing "top" football.

He told BT Sport: "The season is long, you never know what can happen. They are top and play well with a lot of goals...but we have a lot of games to play, we will see at the end of the season."

When then asked about his goal - his third in three games in all competitions - Hazard replied: "[It was a] very good goal, important also. When you play this kind of game you just need to win.

"We created a lot of chances...we didn't score, that's the problem, but we have three points and we move on.

"I think Thibaut [Courtois] needed this [result] for the confidence, but I think all the team deserve this, we did well defensively, offensively also."
