Fans have 'vendetta' against West Ham loanee Joe Hart, says Chris Kirkland

Fans have a "vendetta" against Joe Hart after a string of blunders by the West Ham goalkeeper, says Chris Kirkland.

Hart is reportedly set to lose his spot in the Hammers goal this weekend after Adrian impressed against the loanee's parent club Manchester City.

The England international's form follows an underwhelming spell in Serie A with Torino and has been guilty of a few blunders with West Ham.

But Kirkland has back Hart to overcome this latest setback.

"There seems to be a bit of a vendetta against him at the minute, for me he’s a top, top keeper," Kirkland told talkSPORT.

"The criticism Joe has taken has been very harsh, but we all know the industry we’re in – when you get a target on your back unfortunately it stays there for a while.

"But Joe is a big enough boy, he’s a great goalkeeper and he’s very confident – he’ll fight this all the way."
